How Cloud Computing Impacts the Cash Needs of Startups

Cloud Computing and the StartupToday’s startups are setting up shop in one of the best times in the past 20 years.  The major reason is because of cloud computing and the money it can save.  A recent article in Gigaom talks about why this is a great time to be a startup, from an IT perspective.

With cloud computing the game has completely changed.  From the cloud user’s view, it would be as startling for a new software startup to build its own datacenter as it would for a hardware startup to build its own fabrication line. For startups, they need to focus on their core competency, not trying to build out a datacenter or stand up an infrastructure.  The Gigaom article clearly spells this out.
